LUMS is a square mile section summary data base and mapping system. The data is derived from the 67 county property appraiser files each year (since 1985). The files contain a land use classification on which 9+ million records are summarized providing a compact, versatile database. Fields for each square mile in the state and 100 land use categories include:
1. Number of parcels
2. Assessed value
3. Taxable value
4. Land area
5. Building area
6. Land value
Years of data can be compared and the results output to a data or map file as a standard shape file.
